Exhibition
The crux of Maria Morganti’s daily work is her experimentation of colour, understood as matter, as a trace of time and of existence, which takes shape day after day in her studio with a very precise and always identical rhythm. One colour a day , which the artist often relates to other realities, other spaces, real or imaginary and which is layered and smeared on the canvas, board or paper, just like thoughts, emotions, memories. For her, someone who equally loves words, “colour is a physical, intimate experience. Sometimes I feel it comes from within, as though it were a vehicle of matter”.
