“At first light in the glassworks on Murano, the glass blowers make soffi. Soffi are glass bubbles obtained by blowing through hollow rods that help the glass blower to control the colour, clarity and density of the glass in the crucible. Afterwards, they are thrown away. “The shape of these soffi is beautiful – says Marco Ferreri – I only needed to slightly flatten the bottom to form a base, and temper each piece.” Ninety-nine magic blue vases placed on the stairs of the Palazzo Farnese.
