Installaed on two floors in the stores, a maor retrospective by James Hyde. Hyde’s work meditates on the meaning and practice of both ancinet and modern painting traditions. The components of his painterly texts are isolated abd decontexualized, sometimes using photographic means, giving form to creations taht draw their life force from expressive power of the materials udes and the news techniques with which they are treated, rather than from the analytical process of deconstructing the past.
