Starting from the experience, the tale of which has been passed down from generation to generation and is now part of folklore, of a colonialist ritual in their homeland during the war in Ethiopia, Bertuzzi and Trabucchi have produced NEGUS, the last film in the cycle of the same name which began in 2011. This magical audiovisual representation lasts 70 minutes and weaves symbols, rituals, sounds and images of different cultural traditions along an axis which begins in Vernasca and reaches as far as Addis Abeba and the island of Jamaica, forcing us to reflect on abuses of power in history and their linguistic and ideological consequences.
