Martine Bedin

Bordeaux, 1957

Martine Bedin is an architect and designer, trained in France and then moved to Milan where, in 1981, she participated in the foundation of the avant-garde and ground-breaking design group Memphis. Working for Memphis in the Eighties, she designed iconic objects which are still being produced today. She works with various materials, including marble, wood, metal and ceramic accompanying and describing her projects with multicoloured drawings of considerable expressive and poetic quality.

As well working in Milan with the Memphis group Martine Bedin has worked as an architect, interior designer, industrial designer and teacher. Her works are to be found in important museums and private collections.
