Giordano Pozzi

New York, 1968

An artist and designer who divides his time between Brooklyn, NY and a studio in Italy. Of Italian American heritage, Pozzi studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, Architectural Association and Pratt Institute. His practice blends the lines between painting, sculpture and design. His work is informed by the process of construction, incorporating elements of minimalism and constructivism.

He maintains a strong link to the organic systems found in nature and the manual traditions and crafts that are slowly losing themselves in an increasingly globalized world. He uses a great variety of materials to create objects that have an animalesque sense of vitality and poetic irony.
