Christopher Broadbent

London, 1936

Christopher Broadbent is a perfect English gentleman. Having completed his studies at the IDHEC in Paris, Broadbent dedicated himself to photography in 1968. As a specialist in still life compositions, he has perfected his very own art of refined effects that appear almost to falsify reality. Inspired by the old masters, his compositions resemble masterful trompe-l’oeil paintings more than still life shots.

Internationally renowned in the world of publicity photography he defines himself as a “photographic illustrator”. He uses an old wooden camera, and long exposition times.
